Board Overview, Important Dates, & Attendance Agreement
The IMPACT Jr. Board and Advisory Board is a team of 11th and 12th graders that support, represent, and assist in facilitating all aspects of the IMPACT program. As student leaders of IMPACT, all members are expected to be present at ALL IMPACT meetings throughout the year.
Differences between Boards are as follows:
Jr. Board members:
-Attend ALL monthly Jr. Board meetings, Sunday nights at 6 p.m.
-Chair a committee (responsible for completing individual, self-directed projects within that committee)
-Exempt from 10-hour service requirement, but are expected to contribute at LEAST 20 hours of committed time in addition to regular IMPACT meetings
Advisory Board members:
-Flexible schedule, not required to attend Jr. Board meetings
-Jump in where needed to set up events, help with service projects, assist with worship, etc
-Work with Jr. Board committees as interested
-Must log service hours (any Advisory Board activities count towards hours!)
Please provide a reference of an adult leader we can contact to learn more about your service ethic, character, & leadership qualities. This reference should be an IMPACT adult leader/volunteer - preferably your Team Leader on an IMPACT trip. If, for some reason, that's not doable, then the reference should be an adult leader in our Kenilworth Union Church community.
If you are accepted onto the Junior Board, we will assign you to chair a certain committee. We will do our best to match you to a committee that best reflects your skills and interests.
